It may have seemed like that for me on Sunday at my local Swap Meet as I scooped up loads of swell vintage books and magazines ( as well as other goodies ) that should make their way onto Flickr over the next couple of months. You have been warned!

I hadn't posted to Sugar Frosted Goodness in while so I thought I'd share this preview of a postcard ( one of two ) that I'm working on for the CRD for building inspection reminders. If you haven't visited SFG be sure to wander over and peruse the great illustration work from some of the best in the biz. Tell 'em Glen sent you!

Summer heat got you down? Rugrats underfoot now that school's out? Hiding out in a farmhouse attic after losing power in a military coup? Then why not join me for a celebration of refreshingly retro-futuristic illustration from the 1950's and 1960's at my Flickr site.
Guaranteed to banish thoughts of whiny kids and insubordinate Generals or your money back*.
*Of course this is predicated on you paying me money in the first place. Feel free to start anytime you'd like!

No, this wasn't the result of someone tired of the record-breaking warm weather we've had in these here parts taking it out on a two-dimensional representation of old Sol, but a small part of a much larger and alternately happy and sad story that I'll be passing along soon. It's still developing but keep your eyes peeled for this epic tale of some wonderful original vintage illustration art located after 45 years and the adventure that unfolds regarding it's travels across a continent.
Coming soon to a blog near you.

Since everyone at Flickr is doing it, and I'm always the first to jump on any passing bandwagon, ( as my track record of waiting until a technology is approaching obsolescence until adopting it - cd players, personal computers, the wheel, etc. - proves ) I thought I'd post the slightly modified Simpson's universe version of myself.
Try making your own personalized Simpson's doppelgänger, but be aware... it may expose facets of your true inner self to the world that you may rather keep hidden.
Or they may just not have your correct hairstyle.

...then I've got the perfect treatment ( with a capital "Treat"! ) for you! Make your way to my Flickr for a tantalizing triumvirate of totally tubular Popular Mechanics ads illustrated by one J. Stransberg. The "J " must stand for "Joy" because these are some sweet shills!
