Dave's Mechanical Pencils, a lovingly obsessive blog from New Zealand that features reviews of modern and vintage mechanical pencils as well as erasers, leads and associated writing implements has asked me to expound on my use of non-repro blue mechanical pencil leads and the way I use them in my work. Not wanting to exacerbate the long simmering antagonism between Canadians and New Zealanders ( ongoing since the bloody but short-lived Cano-Kiwi War of 1932 ) I diplomatically agreed.
