SUPER NITRO LABEL EXTREME: The STICKERING!

Little did we know when purchasing an inexpensive light fixture for Joanne's garage a week ago that I'd be getting a blog post out of it! Inside the metal housing of this 5" high wonder was not six, not seven... but EIGHT warning, information or quality control stickers! I'm assuming that a large portion of the cost of this $4.99 item was taken up by these adhesive add-ons (not to mention some of it's structural integrity), so I just had to share it with all of you.

Aren't you glad I did?

Back in the Saddle Again - Norwegian Style!

After the most relaxing, incredible, wonderful eleven days of my life I'm back in Victoria, back to work (with a vengeance!), and back to the ol' internets. So what better way to celebrate that relaxed, refreshed mood than with stylized vintage illustrations of Vikings hacking people to pieces with big axes!

At least it's in black and white so you're spared the scarlet embellishments.

Greetings from the South!

I'm enjoying a wonderful week and a half with my fiancee in the panhandle of Florida right now. So I thought I'd post some quick images from the last few days to tide y'all (hmm... I seem to be picking up some of the local customs!) over.

Below you'll find a scary assortment of disembodied doll bodies (at least I hope they're doll bodies!) at a local antiques mall. I think the stick heads on a few of them just scream "Buy me!"

If ghostly beheaded figures don't do it for you how about a celebration of Florida's space faring history as rendered in bits of door hardware and copper sheeting? "Houston, we have a problem. It seems the giant gate latch on our side just fell off!"
