All Skyped Up

I LOVE Skype. I really do.

It allows people (me) to talk (ramble on) and see (in a pixelated way) across long distances (from British Columbia to Florida) for free (free!) to friends and relatives (my fiancee) in a futuristic videophone sort-of-way that was still sci-fi for most of us 20 years ago.

But sometimes it goes bad.

Very bad...

Yikes! I think that's the worst picture of me on the intertubes since this one!

At least the digitallizerated version of me below is more colourful...

Why couldn't you just iChat?

Scott: I wasn't familiar with IChat. I just looked into it and it seems that you have to set up accounts with Jabber, Mac.com, AIM or some other provider. Are the benefits over Skype worth it.

BTW: The other computer on these calls is a PC (shhhh, don't tell anyone).

Yipes! That top photo is one mutated frame-grab. You need to make that your FB icon!

The top pic is a glimpse at what Lovecraft would cook up had he lived until 2009. Wow!

Scott: We tried iChat- it wasn't as good picture quality as Skype (when Skype works, which is most of the time).
